My Favorite/Must Have Sigma Brushes

I get asked all the time what brushes I think are absolutely necessary from Sigma Beauty! First let me state, I have used and loved Sigma since 2009. They are my absolute favorite brushes ever! Even when I worked for MAC I would whisper to my clients “Go buy Sigma” and write down the name of the company! Its so awesome seeing them grow bigger & bigger and they deserve every ounce of it! Side note: the owners of this company are the most honest, down to earth, family oriented people. Which means a lot to me. I like knowing I am buying from people with great values and great customer service. ANYWAYS… lets talk brushes.

This is in no particular order.

The E55 Eye Shading Brush. This is the perfect brush for all over color. Whether it’s dark color, light color, pigment, glitter, etc. it’s the perfect density! It is the only brush I use to pack on color all over the lid.
E55-2T

The E40 Tapered Blending Brush Even when I am in a super rush and only have a few minutes, I still use this brush to throw some bronzer in the crease of my eye! The longer flared out bristles makes it so easy to blend! This brush is needed for achieving that flawlessly blended look. This is the first brush I use in the beginning of every look.

E40-2T

The E25 Blending Brush This is a shorter, denser version of the E40. This is going to give you more color pay off when applying eyeshadow. Also, more precision, since it is smaller. BUT since, it is white hair (goat hair) as opposed to black hair (synthetic) , it will not pack on tons of color, which is nice when you’re working in your outer crease. especially when you’re doing windshield wiper motions. You don’t want tons of pigment all over the place. It provides a very soft, blurred effect.
E25-2T

The E45 Small Tapered Blending Brush We are moving down the blending scale. This is an even smaller, more precise blending brush. This is used for deep in that outer corner/crease. AMAZING for getting color payoff (buying a good eyeshadow is half of it, using a good brush to get the most out of your product is the other half.) E45-2TThe E30 Pencil Brush Pencil brushes are very needed in makeup application. This brush is used for blending out the under eye area with shadow, highlighting the inner corner of the eye, precise under the brow highlight, etc.. E30-2TThe E65 Small Angle Brush This is what I use for gel eyeliner, or to fill in the brows if you are not using pencil. is short & dense, doesn’t wiggle around on you & get sloppy. Very easy to use! Which is hard to find sometimes. E65-2TThe F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush – I could write a book on how much I love this brush. I dont know what I did before this brush. I use to always switch back and forth between other brushes, trying to find something that worked. I have been in a long term relationship with this brush for almost 5 years and love everything about it. It doesn’t shed, it blends impeccably, and because its flat top, it presses the product into your skin! leaving you looking natural and airbrushed. F80-2TThe F84 Angled Kabuki Brush This brush is exceptional at blending out cream bronzers or blushes! I have never used a brush as good as this one for that purpose. It works really well for powder bronzers as well! But because it is synthetic, it will work beautifully with liquids, blending them in and giving a airbrushed appearance. Because of the angle, its extremely easy to contour with as well.F84-2TThe F86 Tapered Kabuki I have been loving this for blending in concealer. Since I really like to bring my concealer down in a triangle shape for for definition and highlight, this brush makes it SO easy! I also use it for cream highlight on the cheeks/forehead/chin/etc..F86-2TThe F35 Tapered Highlighter oh my gosh, I love this brush! It is awesome for setting your under eye concealer with powder & highlighting your cheekbones. Because of the tapered point, you are able to get in the inner corner of your eye and slightly highlight without going overboard. You only want to use powder products with this brush! Since its synthetic hair, it blends powder beautifully, but not cream!
F35-2T

You are amazing.!!!!!! My 3 daughters and myself have just found you and are obsessed!!!!! We are die-hard Mac customers for many many years. As a matter of fact we are from Montreal, Canada and that is where they started. We now live in Florida and have our special person at the Nordstrom Mac counter. I have a question for you. I have old Mac brushes that are single digits. Is there a comparison chart to see what it is that I actually have? And, do you they they would update for the same brush, seeing that they are so well taken care of????

@Caitlyn Robillard, The Sigmax Kabukis are tougher than normal brushes to get clean. I squirt some baby shampoo (or whatever brush cleaner you use) into the brush and then a bit on my hand. I then swirl the brush in my hand and once it starts to foam I push the bristles flat onto my hand to get the shampoo as deep as possible. Don’t worry about being rough with it, it reshapes and rarely sheds. Then I rinse it and a way to check you’ve gotten all the soap out is to squeeze all the bristles together and if any white foam comes out, give it another rinse. And always dry upside down to maximise your brushes life.

looveee watching your videos and always you look amazing! Question for ya, so I was watching one a while back and you used the MAC faerie glen lipstick from a holiday collection and of course I cant find it anywhere! Do you have something that is comparable to that color? I absolutely love the color and wear those shades on a daily bases. Thanks so much! xoxoxo
