KISS should be Keep It Stupid Simple so it’s like it’s really simple rather than calling yourself ‘stupid’ :D

I’m excited to watch the video! I don’t have many chances to get really dressed up but I am in need of a step up makeup makeup look for those days that I’m not in class!

So happy that you have given us a look like this! I live in a very small town and when I run to town I hate having to go through an hour and a half of makeup. This is perfect! ♥♥♥

What do you think of the MAC Prolongwear foundation? It’s supposed to be a 16 hour wear foundation.

I loved this video! I’m a 39 year old mom of 3 and rarely get dolled up with a ton of makeup or anything that takes more than 5 minutes. Also, my skin is changing and I’m seeing signs of aging. You are so helpful in your videos but I too would LOVE to see you do a “mom look” or more mature look on someone, like your mom and/or sister as someone else mentioned! My skin used to be combo and now I have dry under eye/cheek areas. Weird!! I used to only use bare minerals powder cuz I HATE the feel of any and every moisturizer or liquid makeup I have tried. Clearly I need to be using moisturizer cuz I’m aging, Yo. Blah blah blah, now I’m rambling on a strangers blog who could care less about my “I’m turning 40 this year” face crisis! Haha
Thanks for sharing your love and passion for makeup!

Love you, love your videos! Thank you so much for everything. I get so excited when there is a new video up. I have a question for you… What makeup products do you keep in your bag for touch-ups? I work 9-10 hour days and by the time I get off work my makeup just does not look the same. Would love to know what you keep in your purse and any suggestions on must have items for any girls purse. Thanks!!!

This video was super helpful because I don’t like to use heavy foundation! Will this look work for combination skin? I find my T zone gets somewhat oily while my cheeks stay dry. Can you suggest a good setting/ light powder to put over my tinted moisturizer to control shine in my T zone?

Jaclyn, your amazing of course! You’ve shown me show much and honestly my make up obsession started after I randomly ran across your ‘how to get a flawless face’ video on Pinterest sometime last year maybe. I’ve been a fan ever since. I literally sat there and watch all your other videos after I watched that first one. While your videos are amazing, you don’t have the problem I have when it comes to extremely dark undereye circles. Therefore, you never really go over how to hide them. I do have the Mac prolong wear concelear, however, my dark circles need more help. Please make a video or give suggestions on this issue! I’m sending an SOS! :)

We’ll just got through watching your latest tutorial on the drug store makeup and I honestly feel that no matter what you do or say you are always going to get negative and mean comments. There are just negative and mean people out there, who need to judge and make comments so they feel good. Pray for them. I honestly love watching you. It’s a service you provide us. Thank you for your sweetness and kindness that radiates through. It’s so true that everyone has tragedy or hardships and some people can walk thru them and learn, while others stop dead in their tracks and become bitter. Keep doing what you do!

I absolutely love your videos! You are such an inspiring person as a makeup artist and for just being you! I am in my twenties and I love getting all dolled and dressed up when I am not in scrubs working! Lol I loved your most recent video! I am definitely going to have to get that amazing eyeshadow for sure!!! I saw your response to comments and at the end of your video and its sad that people judge quickly when they don’t know you at all. No one has it easy in life and sometimes there are ups and downs! I totally understand getting married young, struggling financially, and hardly getting by. The first year my hubby and i were married we didnt have worth anything. I never bought any makeup or fashion clothes for the longest time! Things got better financially for us and now I am looking at PA schools. Don’t ever stop doing what you are doing! I love your tips on makeup!

I would just like to comment on Mrs. Hill’s most recent video where she mentions feeling hurt and attacked by those who suggest she is against drugstore makeup or somehow thinks she is too good to use it. Firstly unless you happen to be personal friends with Mrs. Hill you are in no position to assess her personality or her intentions. Accept that in the world of the internet you only see what she chooses to share and rightfully so as she deserves a private family life like the rest of us. Secondly, she is a professional makeup artist so of course she uses professional grade products, this is what her clientel expects. Additionally, one would assume that as in most industries there is a professional discount so she may not pay retail for these products. Mrs. Hill, if I may make a polite suggestion, for those who for whatever reason may only have access to drugstore brands would you be willing to mention any dupes you know of for the products you are using from time to time? Due to my severe allergies I am generally restricted to more natural brands but this may be helpful to others who wish to emulate your looks in a manner that fits their individual budget.

I completely agree with you Christine. Jacyln is a professional MUA, of course she is going to use a lot of higer end products! It’s ridiculous for people to think otherwise or that she should always and almost only use drugstore.

You mentioned that you have other everyday looks you often use. I personally would love to see tutorials on those looks. I struggle with doing an everyday look. I feel like because I started wearing makeup so young (probably around 12) and have continued to do so for the past nine years, I find myself in what I like to call a makeup rut. I pretty much wear a full face of makeup everyday. I would love to look like I wasn’t wearing quite so much. I’m totally on board for more everyday looks!

Hey Jaclyn! I’m looking at buying a great set of makeup brushes… I am a beginner as far as makeup goes and noticed that your favorite brushes are the sigma brushes. What sigma set would you recommend buying? Or what are a few of the must haves for eyes, lips and face? In addition, I am thinking about buying a naked palette. Have you used them and how do you feel about them? If you do not like the naked palette, what are you recommendations for great, versatile eye shadow palettes for beginners? Thanks!

I just want to say that I am a 36 year old woman, who up until 6 months ago, didn’t even know how to apply makeup. I googled how to put on makeup and discovered Jaclyn Hill. Although I don’t use the same products, I use her techniques. I am proud to say that this weekend, I was complimented by a group of women on how natural my makeup looked. Thank you Jaclyn! It is a huge confidence booster when you know you look your best when you walk out of the house.
